Homegrown Fitness is your local, neighbourhood gym for small group strength training classes, personal training, and community. Nestled in Toronto’s West End, we’re not your average gym - we keep things small, intentional, and community-focused so you feel supported every time you walk through the door.

At Homegrown Fitness, we’re building a new kind of Toronto gym - one where strength training is intelligent, accessible, and rooted in compassion.

Our small group strength training classes and personal training programs make lifting weights feel fun, approachable, and welcoming for all fitness levels. We celebrate bodies of all shapes and sizes and provide a supportive environment where people of all ages, genders, and skill levels feel at home.

Learn to Lift is a one-time, 2-Hour small-group workshop designed to help you feel confident walking into any of our classes at Homegrown Fitness. You’ll learn the fundamentals of lifting in a supportive, hands-on environment—no experience required.

Our small group classes focus on building strength, improving mobility, and creating sustainable fitness habits for all bodies, abilities, and ages.

How our Programming Works

At Homegrown Fitness, we take our class programming seriously — in the best way.

Our classes follow a year-long, thoughtfully periodized training plan. Instead of random workouts, we organize training into focused programs that run between 6–12 weeks, each with a specific goal.

Across the year, we intentionally shift focus — building a strong foundation, improving conditioning, developing strength, maintaining progress through busy seasons, and finishing the year feeling capable and excited rather than burned out.

This approach allows your body to adapt, recover, and continue making progress long-term.

Every class you attend fits into a bigger picture. You’re not just showing up for a workout — you’re stepping into a carefully curated program and plan.

We do the thinking so all you have to do is show up and do the work.

You can join us at ANY point throughout any of our programs! Our expert coaches will help you integrate into our classes with individualized care and support.

Our small group classes are flexible to fit your schedule. You can choose to come once a week, multiple times per week, or take advantage of unlimited classes depending on your membership.
